What we do
We review luxury eco-hotels. We are not a marketing site or a hotel booking site. You cannot pay to be on the site, nor do you have any control over the content of the site or your hotel review. The site is strictly editorial, with independent reviews by professional environmental consultants and travel journalists.
Who we review
We review only the most luxurious ethical hotels. Any size or style, from business to bling, but
- Standards need to be five-star (although we recognise the absurdity of most official rating systems, so your hotel doesn't need to be officially five-star). Campsites, caravans, hostels and budget hotels will not be considered, no matter how green. We review only luxury hotels.
- Ethical credentials needs to be high, with the hotel providing major investment in ethical concerns, far beyond asking guests to reuse their towels and installing a handful of energy-efficient light bulbs (although we would expect to see those in most!). By ethical, we mean issues relating to the environment, animals, nature and people. We realise not every hotel will be able to cover all of these areas, but whatever you do must be far above similar hotels in your class and region.

*This is a PRELIMINARY form. Hotels we think are suitable will need to provide more detailed information with very specific information about energy use, water use, toiletry and cleaning product names, etc.
NOTE that you must host a reviewer, a professional travel journalist or environmental consultant, for a minimum of two nights to review the hotel. Transportation is not required. This is non-negotiable as it takes more than one night to confirm the information provided and to assess the hotel.
